Even though I don't really approve of The Other WAYLT---I don't think it's necessary---I just broke a very long "no music" spell with nonjazz, so here it is. (I posted this playlist on JC years ago, but for various reasons, I can no longer link you to a place to listen to it; sorry.)

Surely not all of a sudden. Less than half of a sudden at best.

Walto, speaking of "da kine" music . . .
Having noticed and admired an avatar that you're using elsewhere, the cover of the Zeena Parkins album Ursa's Door, I listened to a couple of typically brief sound clips from that album at Amazon. Even that briefly, I felt as if I were under assault. (It was the "rapidly turning the dial past static-y AM radio stations" effect that I couldn't take.) Is the whole album that way, i.e., probably not for a "da kine" music novice listener? I've seen Zeena perform live at least once, as part of some group, and recall enjoying the music well enough. (I didn't know that there were four musical Parkins sisters!)
