Happy Mardi Gras!

Postby tippy » March 3rd, 2014, 11:22 pm

Making jambalaya at the moment for the folks at work tomorrow. Someone sent us a King Cake last month and I put pressure on the baby eater to put out for the holiday. Heh heh. So I thought I should too. I don't usually like jambalaya, but this one's got peanut oil and I think it might end up being pretty good. My office manager asked if she should get some kind of drinks. Had to laugh at that one. I told her to skip the drinks and get us beads instead. :)

Hope you guys have a good one. Get phat! LOL. (Oh yeah, and stay toasty and off the roads if you can winterstormers.)

Happy Mardi Gras to you, too, Tipitina!

Good drink, good food, good company and a great parade wins every time. Beads? Not so much. At least, not for me.

(May the ostriches forgive me---just this once. But you know, I eat chicken, too.)

Rita, Iko/Aiko is a great song!
I'm most familiar with the Dead's version, of course.

I was surprised to find out that "set your tail on fire" ("set your flag on fire" by Dixie Cups) actually has a nasty meaning.
Hey now!
