Re: Dave Holland and New Quartet, Prism
i'd walk a mile to hear Dave Holland and am excited about hearing him with his group at Monterey, maybe even in L.A. after that!
Re: Dave Holland and New Quartet, Prism
Saw them a few months ago at SFJazz, and will see them again when they come back in October.

I would not have expected the same band to have Craig Taborn and Kevin Eubanks, but Mr E obviously is a wonderfully versatile musician.

Re: Dave Holland and New Quartet, Prism
Has anybody heard the record?
I'm one of the few (indeed, perhaps the only person in the entire world) who never particularly enjoyed that "Extensions" album with Eubanks from--my God--practically a quarter-century ago. I like my jazz guitar jazzier than that. I know Eubanks is a chameleonic virtuoso who can play any style he wants, but if this is similar guitar territory to "Extensions" I'm not sure it's for me. But Taborn adds another dimension...

I've enjoyed an advance copy for weeks now....it's KILLIN'!
Referencing the 'acoustic or electric' thread I'll venture to say they employ more BTU's than some of the board members might be able to deal with

Head coach of the American Football New England Patriots. He does the confoundingest things and they usually work out all right, so In Bill We Trust is taken as gospel here.

Re: Dave Holland and New Quartet, Prism
It gets less press, but God was more concerned about Dave Holland cutting Billy Kilson than he was about Belichek cutting Tebow.
