A fine two-fer from 32Jazz, two early 70s nuggets from Sonny Stitt; Tune Up features Alan Dawson on drums.

Same here, I hadn't re-listened to it for long and the second half of it notably is pretty awesome.

You're probably right.
But all my YCDTOSA CDs are in the office right now, so I've got to do without them, until monday at least.

Sorry, Kelly.
Harder Than Your Husband is from You Are What You Is, right?
Shoudn't be too long before I reach it, though I had first thought of going back to the 60s after the 70s, but I'm so close to reaching the 80s, I don't know anymore.

Vocalists. The great strength of many tracks along the way.
My first exposure to Zappa was Sheik Yerbouti. I was 11 I believe, on vacation in Germany with friends of my parents, and hated it. Still not among favorites, but I re-listened to it a year or maybe two later (liked it that second time), after I had borrowed One Size Fits All at the local music library and was instantly hooked.
The time it took me to go through the past discography, I was not that thrilled by many of the 80s releases (Shut Up and..., You Are What You Is and Ship Arriving Too Late being exceptions) until the day Jazz from Hell went out and I knew I was hooked for life.
