Re: What Are You Listening To?
I'm listening to
- Nadje Noordhuis - Nadje Noordhuis - Little Mystery - (2012) (which I bought copies of from her after it blew my mind at the radio station)
- Noah Preminger - Haymaker - Palmetto - (2012) (which I tried to buy copies of from him after it delighted me at the radio station)
I've given copies of these 2 - above - to local presenters to see if we can get them up here from NY to have them play their own music with their own groups.
- Pat Metheny - Tap: Masada Book 2, The Book Of Angels Volume 20 - Tzadik / Nonesuch (2013) (both labels released the same music with different packaging)
- Enrico Pieranunzi - Plays Domenico Scarlatti - CAM JAZZ (2012)
- Ivan Lins & SWR Big Band Under the direction of Ralf Schmid - Cornucopea - SUNNYSIDE (2013)
- Quercus - Quercus - ECM (2013) (June Tabor, voice /Iaian Bellamy, saxophones /Huw Warren, piano)

Re: What Are You Listening To?
From Sonny Rollins' FB. It's from 11 days before Clifford Brown and Richie Powell's death.
Clifford Brown/Max Roach Quintet w/ Newk
June 15, 1956 @ the Continental Restaurant in Norfolk, Virginia
It's not the greatest sounding recording, but still....
