Doug Robinson: Alone/Together
Re: Doug Robinson: Alone/Together
A Cool Video from my Concert Two Nights Ago
not the official video but something shot by my future father-in-law from the front row. It's 10 minutes, and you'll hear the end of Ken Basman and I playing "alone together" in 7/4 then launching into "turkey in the straw " then a little spoken thing by me saying good night, and ending with my new arrangement of "Moon River."

Re: Doug Robinson: Alone/Together
I'm sending myself a note to watch at home later. Not a good idea to play music here at work.

Very nice, Doug. Lovely piece. What a fine vocalist, but I wish the recording hadn't been marred by the mic "popping".

Re: Doug Robinson: Alone/Together
Nice arrangement. It definitely works in 7/4. I also ran it through my head in 6/8 and liked those possibilities, with an almost lilting swing.
