It all depends on what else is in it.
And it also depends how long you want the hat to hold it for.

Great thread. I've got a question that has been on my mind since I just now came up with it.
steve(thelil), do you have any strange cheese anecdotes?

I hadn't thought of the first factor. Very impressive.

I just might! Thanks for asking!
(Hint. Did you hear the one about the Muenster and the Munster. It's a thigh slapper!)
(Hint #2. Facebook is always trying to interest me in Christian Singles. What are those, individually wrapped slices of Christian?)
(Hint #3. Some cheese-like stuff is labeled "cheese food" - not so you will know it's like cheese....but so you know it's like food!)

Best on white bread.
(I found some strange cheese in my fridge last night. No anecdote just strange.)

Do you live on the Upper West Side?
If so, do you visit the local pet stores?

Are you still playing the blues?

Are cobwebs for catching corn or swans?
Surely not all of a sudden. Less than half of a sudden at best.

Yes, I do live on the Upper West Side. But it isn't why I visit the local pet stores. It isn't even where I visit pet stores!
Thanks for asking!
A. Kingstone wrote:Are you still playing the blues?
I am both playing and singing the blues, but no new blues recordings. When I visit local pet stores, I do some Howlin' Wolf as a tribute to the residents.
Thanks for asking!
walto wrote:Are cobwebs for catching corn or swans?
I've always found that hard to answer. But I'm leaning towards "Yes"
Thanks for asking!

Have you ever seen me?
Have you ever seen Philip Roth?

Why not Hound Dog Taylor?
He ain't never been a rabbit and he ain't no friend of mine.
Thanks for asking!
A. Kingstone wrote:Do your eyes water when you pluck a nose hair?
Rarely. Only when it's MY OWN nose hair I pluck.
Thanks for asking!
Mr. Met wrote:I live in the same neighborhood as you do!

Cool, I had no idea that you lived in the same neighborhood OR that you were Philip Roth!
I actually have seen you on the street or in stores several times.
When I lived on 79th, you had an apartment in the building next door! I remember running into you in the business services store on Columbus near 79th when you were copying and sending a draft of a new work to a publisher. Another customer commented "Another book" You joked back "Gotta keep paying the bills" .
.......When the store worker said "479 pages" (or whatever number it was) I wanted to joke "479 pages, I guess you can really write!" but didn't have the nerve.
Re: Questions for Steve(thelil)
Oh! I didn't mean that I was Philip Roth! But I have seen him in the neighborhood. You should have joked with him. I bet he would have laughed. I mean, a good writer HAS to have a sense of humor.
That said, have you ever seen Frank Langella?
Do you go to Five Napkin Burger? If so, how do you like their burgers and sushi?
Do you ever go to DSW for shoes?
Do gerbils wear shoes?

Do you patronize that cheap hot dog place on Broadway? I don't believe that there is any real papaya in their drink.

What professional basketball team was named after a TV set and what was the name of a famous player for that team whose first name was the same as a dairy product?

False.
Thanks for asking, Phil!
Mr. Met wrote:

Yes. I thought he was powerful in "Diary of a Mad Housewife"
Thanks for asking!
Mr. Met wrote:Do you go to Five Napkin Burger?
Been there once for a burger and once for fish tacos.
Thanks for asking!
Mr. Met wrote: so, how do you like their burgers and sushi?
I've never felt that combo worked. Prefer cheese and or/bacon on my burger
Thanks for asking!
Mr. Met wrote: you ever go to DSW for shoes?
I go there for capital letters and because their men's bathroom is by far the closest public restroom to the uptown 79th street subway exit.
Thanks for asking!
Mr. Met wrote: Do gerbils wear shoes
Tough to answer either "yes" or "no". Most gerbils wear one shoe

I don't answer questions that contain heretical accusations.
