Wishing that the Grand Masters can hang around forever and always not meant to be...
Saw him many times fantastic saxophonist and over the top on flute as well.
His lead alto playing in a number of big bands really left a mark too....RIP

sending you warm hugs, June, in memory of our wonderful Frank Wess. aside from all the obvious about his talents, I remember that even in his last years, he never lost his twinkling eyes, especially when an attractive woman came into his view!
