I haven't been in Detroit to attend in a decade now. That's unfortunate. The lineup this year - like virtually every year - is attractive. More appealing than Monterey or SFJazz or Lincoln Center (though the latter two make poor comparatives, since they are oriented to full seasons of performance.) What a blessing that this festival was saved.
