Any of you guys hear of this?

I got this call today about how my medical insurance could be stopped immediately unless I gave my credit card information to something called jazznet insurance holdings. I was a little skeptical at first but the guy said three other people I know had already lost their coverage, and he had their whole names, plus he sounded nice. So I ended up providing the info. 8-)

But now I'm a little nervous, since there's was a $3000 charge on my card this afternoon and I don't remember buying anything (but I prolly just forgot). What do y'all think?

I have no idea what you're talking about, walto.

Did you notice the phone number on caller i.d.? Was there funny music in the background?

Yes. It was a tongue-in-cheek post alluding to paying for operational costs of this forum.

I get it. It's Pete C party pooping when he doesn't understand a joke thread someone starts.

I've seen it often. It often occurs in situations in which the joke involves someone pretending to be dumb and making statements that aren't true. It seems to happen just as often when the joke is really excellent as when it isn't.

Sometimes he claims both that he doesn't get the joke AND that it's not funny. Unless that's him just playing along and saying something dumb fort the purposes of humor. But I don't think it is.

Hi guys--I only have a minute. (I signed into the the local library internet to do this, since I lost my internet thingy when it turned out somebody else really owns my house, and they only give you 20 minutes to surf here.) Anyhow, I'm hoping the medical insurance is as good as it sounded (and as Scottie says) because I haven't been feeling that well since we've been living in public housing. Still feel pretty good about the whole busineess, though. I mean my luck has been bad otherwise, so it's good that at least one nice thing happened! And I still stand ready to throw a couple bucks to JazzCorner.

Oops gotta go.

Yeah. And I mean in addition to the bunch of money I gave to Jazz Corner a couple of days ago. You guys (being the sole successor site and everything) will get the monthly tithe I promised to that organization right?

Oops gotta go again.
