Junk food you'd eat more if nutrition/weight wasn't an issue

OK. Don't judge me until you try them.
I would eat McDonald's Might Wings all the time. Not because they are the BEST but because you can get them fast and without committing to a big order.
They aren't Buffalo Wings. But they are like the best, JUMBO spicy fried chicken wings. And with the ranch dressing they offer, they really give you the full wings experience without being greasy.

I would eat a medium pizza pie every day for lunch until I tired of it, then move on to Five Guys burgers and fries. Maybe I'd alternate, medium pizza one day, two to three burgers with fries the next, and so on.

I don't consider pizza or burgers junk food. The ones I love aren't chain products -- but they sure have more fat and calories in them than I can regularly consume.
However, if I ate them every day, would I still consider them "treats?"

I wouldn't discriminate.

My preferred junk food is salty, greasy and crunchy. Chips, pretzels, crackers, that sort of thing. And peanuts. I would eat lots of that stuff if it had no effect on my weight or health. I have no attraction to sugary junk food.

I'm strict vegetarian, so a lot of the traditional "junk" is off my radar for other reasons. If there weren't consequences in terms of nutritional deficiencies, I'd eat raw carrots (good ones, not from the Piggly Wiggly) mushrooms and apples until they came out my ears. Baked, plain sweet potatoes. I hate fake meat, but seitan...
No interest in chips or candy, for whatever reason. (They'd probably overwhelm my tastebuds.)

Them super-extra-large burgers from Fatburger with extra cheese, two fried eggs, and a bunch of fries. And a large shake.

Lunch yesterday:
Hash made from leftover sausage, meatloaf and mashed potatoes. Fried up with butter, onions and mushrooms. I think I have hit my cholesterol limit for the next 6 months!
Just to be clear, weight and nutrition are generally an issue with me, but I was having a crappy day and that was the result.

I'm gonna add a different sort of reply. If you asked, name the food you would eat with gluttonous abandon if you didn't suffer any consequences, my answer would be NUTS...as mentioned earlier...pistachios, cashews, peanuts, almonds...all by the pound, non-stop for an hour at a time. As it is, they make me sick for days. But I love them.

Chocolate, lots of chocolate. The number one thing on the menu would be Snickers bars.

Oh man. I'm struggling with this right now, honestly. I'm heavier than usual, and really craving more of the stuff that got me here.
Snickers
Jelly Beans
Pizza
Shakes
Nuts
Steak--lots and lots of it
Burritos with carne and cheese
Oreos
Mother's Circus Animal Cookies

Scott Dolan wrote:I'm not sure why people keep mentioning nuts. Nuts are actually an incredibly healthy food. As with anything, moderation is key.
A recent study found a strong correlation with nut eating and longevity. I also remember an interview with a cultural anthropologist who said the one thing he found common to societies where an unusually high percentage of people lived to 100 was that the diets included nuts and berries.

In my case, they wreak havoc on my digestion. So not junk, but dangerous.

If moderation was easy, we'd all be doing it. Sometimes I...can't...stop...
Oh, and I'd probably just run through the menu at Carl's Jr a few times.

New York style for sure.'
I live near Philly and there are lots of great soft pretzels around here. I fucking love them and would eat them almost every day if I could.
