As a follow-up to an earlier New Year thread http://jazztalk.net/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=288&p=4528&hilit=new+year#p4528, another New Year to celebrate. I've always been fascinated by the Islamic calendar, which "creeps" eleven or twelve days each year vis-a-vis the Gregorian year. My first Ramadan was in May, and now we've rolled back through the seasons to June (in 2014). Here's a little background info for anyone wishing to join the celebration. http://ahsanabuletin.wordpress.com/2010 ... -new-year/
