Even the concept of a board like this speaks to an older audience, I THINK

The exception to this are boards for enthusiasts like cars and mics. hobbies, where the exchange of dialogue in this type of format to include photos & video.

That said, and don't be shy, roll call: Share your chronological age

62

I wouldn't sweat it, Valerie. You, Hoppy, and Father Thorne can anchor the high end. I'm pretty sure I'm the youngest one here.

Think about how odd that is: this board is owned and operated by the youngest, and possibly oldest members here! Not entirely sure if Ron is older than Hoppy.

Hoppy is 80!

Well, I was a young guy in my 30s when we had our first virtual meetings at Jazz Central Station. I am now 56.

55, oh my. I don't feel 55 (not sure if a feeling should be associated with 55) and the only instances I am reminded of my middle age-dom is when I look in a mirror and see the gray hair and beard. Otherwise, I still yearn to play touch football, tennis, hockey, and other endeavors that would hasten my demise.

I'm 42, but I didn't used to be when I got sucked into these damn jazz board things. If only there had been government warnings in the 1990s about what this stuff could do to you. But no, it was all 1000 free hours of AOL this and You've Got Mail that. Now look at me. I blame JCS.

JCS = Jesus Christ Stallone.

PS. I am ageless. My chronological number would not add anything of value to this forum.

Yesterday I just celebrated my 34th wedding anniversary with this creature, so I'm young enough.

That just proves that she's young. Lots of young women make bad decisions.

Edit: By "creature," I assume you mean the ravishing young lady and not some rodent hidden in the background.

LOL. and Bravo!

And I particularly liked the euphemism "in the background" in this context. FIVE MONTES!

I kind of remember stumbling into JCS about 20 years ago. I was in another site with Song Scout and Baltimore Billy etc at thet time. It folded pretty early on.

I'm guessing I discovered JCS about 20 years ago as well. The then regulars that I recall were, Bruce Woods, Doctor Dave, Gary Sisco, Big Al, Shapp Dogg Da Real Deal, Song Scout, Conan, Ron Thorne (I think), Lori Tvedt, Pete Cherches, Professor Dave (who had written a bio on Jimmy Durante), Josh Heisler, Elliott, Anthony (he used a different name) who was another young NYC guy who was primarily concerned with whether a musician "swings", a teenaged girl bass player whose name escapes me, a young musician from Canada who had a web site called Central Park North, and Cookie. Reynolds happened on the scene very shortly thereafter. Jill "Maxi" Shreibman ran the site.
