(It did really strike me that, in "unsophisticated" West Africa, the people I encountered were more sensible/science-based about Ebola than in sometimes hysterical Europe (Brussels) and the United States (rural and agricultural area).)

On his deathbed, Jack LaLanne admitted that his wife Elaine LaLanne was not a true hermaphrodite, but he used this "fact" for the last ten years of his life to boost sales of his "Jack LaLanne Power Juicer".

Douglas MacArthur, though presumably not a hermaphrodite himself, was known to favor hermaphrodite officers. Hermaphrodites were, perhaps, overrepresented on his staff.
