Sharks played a decent road game at Boston last night.....outshot the B's big time.

Regulation winding down, Boston making one last rush, a beautiful tip play for the 2-1 win with .8 first regulation loss in 10 games and the first game where they didn't get at least 1 point.

Quite a few guys nicked up including a guy who was crushed into the corner in the head by the big captain (who they make very few calls on and can be quite a dirty player). Boyle on the trip after getting his head put into the boards in St.Lou....Burns out day to day.

Rooks and call -ups holding down the fort, but need the regulars on the ice to keep the nice start going.

Because the fucking Bruins eliminated the Leafs in game 7 round one last year, I'm reticent to comment on those Chara led yellow mother fuckers.

I'm okay. Breath. Breath.

But didn't the Leafs cough up a HUGE lead in the 3rd period?

And because of that our GM went out and got Jonathan Bernier to fight for the starting goalie job, Dave Bolland an David Clarkson for added grit. So far so good. Clarkson played only his first game last night due to a suspension.

Quite surprised and pleased on the result of the Sharks win yesterday in Ottowa!

It was a total of 22 hours between the drop of the puck on Saturday night against the Habs and the 5PM local start time.

It was the first 'back-to-back' of the season....first game for backup net minder Stalock (whose been the top guy in the minors the last couple of years) facing 40 SOG and allowing only 2.

This while some key starters are on the mend from various injuries.

Leafs humiliated in Vancouver on Pavel Bure night and lose Dave Bolland to an Achilles tendon cut.

Bozak is out so we're getting thin at centre.

(Not me personally, I'm still very thick at centre)

It's early but the Pacific has the top 4 teams are separated by a total of 2 points, and 5th place L.A. is only 3 points behind. Health is probably going to be a factor moving forward to see if there will be any separation.

Inevitably some players will come out of the Olympics dinged up, which will change what happens in the NHL when they return.

Hmmm? Maybe not.

Her Flames got a big win by some Swiss goaltender, Reto Berra last night in his first NHL game.
