1. Alabama: highest rate of stroke (3.8%) (tied with Oklahoma)

2. Alaska: highest suicide rate (23.6 suicides per 100,000 people in 2004)

I couldn't find DC on the list in #1, so it must not be the worst at anything. :|

Oh, wait---DC isn't on the list in #1 because no one thought of including it. When filling out forms online, I sometimes have to choose MD as my state because DC isn't on the list.

My state has the longest average commute. But I bring the average down slightly, having none.

Well, I do know that a common thing to do out here is to burn your broken down house and collect insurance...so...maybe too many people go for a two-fer (get rid of unwanted house member AND collect insurance).
