Late NY Giant cornerback Carl "Spider" Lockhart (who according to a reliable source was the inspiration for TV's "Dexter") was radioactive. He got his nickname after a spider he bit became the first Arachnid cornerback in the NFL.

And...the protagonist was originally called Robinson Caruso but he couldn't hit the high C so Defoe renamed him Crusoe.

Actress Jamie Lee Curtis is only one of dozens, if not hundreds, of celebrities who are hermaphrodites. Curtis was born with an unusual chromosome structure (ostensibly some variation of XXY). Other celebs who are/were hermaphrodites: Jim Nabors, Roman Gabriel, Mitch "Wild Thing" Williams, Yogi Berra, Y.A. Tittle, Keith Moon, Ginger Baker, Alfred "No Cock" Hitchcock, Laura Bush, Bruno Sammartino, Laurel and Hardy, Kevin Spacey, Superfly Jimmy Snuka, Jayne Mansfield, Anthony Jerome "Spud" Webb, and Bruno Mars.

The late comedienne Totie Fields was in a clandestine long-term sexual relationship with author Truman Capote. She broke it off when Truman kept referring to her as "my sex slave and future wife Totie Capote". Within days she began a similar relationship with baseball player Larry Doby.

The guy in the Dos Equis ad is not even the most interesting man in beer commercials. That title goes to the guy dissed for wearing skinny jeans in a light beer ad; who can actually fart out the score of Thoroughly Modern Millie.
