Had yet another interesting bourbon today. Nor'easter from Nantucket.

Manly Man rosé from French Basque country. 70% tannat! Big tannins, the kind that make you want to eat salt cod and play pelota.

Re: What Are You Drinking?
For my martini today I opened a bottle of Silo gin that I bought last time I went up to Vermont. It's distilled at Silo Distillery in Windsor, Vermont. Not bad but a little "heavy" tasting in my opinion. I prefer a cleaner taste in my gin. Hendrick's is still champion in my book. They also make vodka, whiskey and bourbon. I also scored a 375ml bottle of their bourbon but haven't tried it yet. Silo has a pretty impressive operation.

Had a bottle of this stuff yesterday. It was pretty nice.
Surely not all of a sudden. Less than half of a sudden at best.

Which one(s), Walto? I think the Chimay Blue might be right up my alley. I don't enjoy overly hopped beers.
"• Chimay Blue (ABV 9%), known as Grande Reserve, is deeply fruity and peppery, slightly bitter, with hints of plum, raisin and nutmeg."

Just broke the seal on a bottle of Silo bourbon that I picked up the last time I was in Vermont. Interesting small batch bourbon aged in American oak barrels. Rich and smooth. Just what I like in a bourbon.
