This is something worth watching for. Prog bassist Tony Levin - who studied at the Eastman School of Music with his friend Steve Gadd and played with Buddy Rich before becoming an in-demand rock and pop session player - and his brother Pete, a keyboardist who was part of the Gil Evans Orchestra for 15 years, have teamed up for the first time to play the music they dug together in their youth: cool jazz.
"Don't expect abstruse songs or long-winded solos - this album is all about great, melodic songs with high level performances by all the players."
