Jazz in Philadelphia

In town for two weeks. I'm aware of Chris' from previous visits, and I know Ortlieb's is now gone/non-jazz. Tonight I'm working and missing Uri Caine and Dave Douglas at Ars Nova. Drag.

So...any other decent jazz places?

I'm working on it, BeBop. It looks like pretty slim pickin's, but there is usually a gem or two hiding somewhere.

Check out this resource which seems pretty comprehensive. Click on the link below.

Thanks for the link, Ron. It's the best resource I've seen. If I come across anything better, I'll post it. Unfortunately, my work rampoed up quickly and my opportunity to get to a concert disappeared before it appeared.

You're welcome.

It seems as though Chris' Jazz Cafe is still the undisputed place to be since choices have really narrowed. It's a cool little room which my wife and I enjoyed several years back.
