The guitarist is from Peru, and IMO, he's "speaking" a little too much Peruvian Spanish and not quite enough
Brazilian Portuguese. I prefer a different version of "No More Blues" on YouTube, but its video and audio are
slightly out of sync. Still, you may want to just listen to it.

Just in case you didn't see the Jazz Birthdays thread: Alan Dawson with Brubeck/Desmond/Mulligan/Six in '72.

In a review of the concert at which this video was shot, I read that the musicians in the audience included Dennis, Aaron, and Stefan González.

If you're afraid that you'll be lulled to sleep, start at 3:40 or so.

My son Justin and I met Terence Blanchard at the Portland Jazz Festival in 2009, and were very glad we did. He's an extraordinary man and talent. We were able to attend the rehearsal for his (live) debut of "A Tale of God's Will (A Requiem for Katrina)", his lecture and concert performance.

I'm posting this as a remembrance of that occasion, and as a tribute to all of the citizens of New Orleans and survivors of Katrina, 10 years later.
