This music we love tends to be chock filled with new discoveries.
I'm certain at the old JC we picked up on and learned about many fine musicians from one another.
This guy is a wonderful player and a revelation to me. New recording on Sunnyside label produced by Fred Hersch

Rodrigo Amado - fine tenor and baritone saxophonist - and THIS record with Taylor Ho Bynum, Jon Hebert and Gerald Cleaver deliver one of the best jazz/improv records I've heard in the past few years. GREAT sound and Cleaver's finest performance I've heard on record. The great drummer sounds like he does live - unlike on some other (un-named labels. on Not Two records

I have been listening often to Trish Clowes' CDs "Tangent"
and "And in the Night Time She is There."
I haven't seen or heard much discussion about her or her music.
The more I listen the more I hear.
