See there, Ron? ;)

And for me, it mostly means I'm not listening to, or buying, anything new. And mostly only listening to music in the car during my relatively short commute.

It's not a true moratorium, but as close as a music lover would get to one.

I understand. There was no finger-pointing or judgement on my part.

A day without music (for me) would be a day without full passion for life. And, since I've played music at varying levels for 57 of my 70+ years, it would just be weird.

Live music is the best, most profound, moving, inspirational of all, because you are part of the experience in a way that cannot be denied, whether on the stage or in the audience.

Impossible for me to say, but I am enjoying other people's responses. Keep 'em coming! :|

This probably won't come as any surprise to many of you, but ... Jim Pepper. :music:

Also, pianist Enrico Pieranunzi, in many incarnations.

I see that I replied last year with Miles, which is undoubtedly true. But I feel a Monk splurge coming on fast!

Of the classics, I listen to Ellington the most with Monk probably in 2nd place with Mingus. For musicians currently playing, it would have to be Bill Frisell.
