Climb aboard. Set a date and destination. Let us know where you're headed.

November 9, 1936
Chicago, IL
Recording sessions for:
Jones-Smith Incorporated
Count Basie (piano), Lester Young (tenor sax), Walter Page (bass), Jo Jones (drums),
Carl Smith (trumpet)
Count Basie And His Orchestra
Count Basie (p), Claude Williams (gt), Walter Page (b), Jo Jones (dr), Wilbur "Buck" Clayton, Joe Keyes, Carl "Tati" Smith (tp), George Hunt, Dan Minor (tb), Caughey Roberts (as), Herschel Evans, Lester Young (ts), Jack Washington (bs), Jimmy Rushing (vo).

Some of my favorite music and a studio full of great men/musicians, only a few of whom I ever actually met. (Clayton, Basie, Jones)

8-) Let's put on one of those sides!

That producer fellow John Hammond sure knows how to pick 'em! Mark my words---one of these days some competitor is going to steal the whole Jones-Smith Orchestra right out from under his nose.
