This recognition from the Guinness World Records came at the end of 2015, but still worth a mention a year later! 2,221 individual recordings as of September 2015.

I don't suspect this record will be surpassed anytime soon...

Anyone have a favorite among the 2,221 recordings?

My favorite new recording with Ron Carter was released in 2016, so this might just be recording #2,222:

This album was ranked ranked #7 in 2016 by Stereogum in their 10 Best Jazz Albums of 2016 list:

And ranked #15 on the Jazzwise Magazine (UK) Top 20 Jazz Albums of 2016 list:

Ron Carter is not only prolific, he's played with a vast number of musicians and led a number of his own groups, as well. Among many albums I've heard, I really like much of his output with Herbie Hancock, including some trio work with Tony Williams in the drum chair.

For example:

And, of course, Ron's period with Miles Davis, including this one, another favorite, with Herbie Hancock, saxophonist Wayne Shorter, and Tony on drums.

The list could be unmanageable. :music:
