Re: The Affordable Care Act

I checked out the ACA online. Yeah, it sucks that all of those people Tom talked about can't get healthcare. But 30 million more people will. And the plans are easy to follow...

Re: Government Shutdown

Whatta bunch of clowns. Boehner knows better, that's part of the problem. And for Ted Cruz to call it "Obama's shutdown" is as like him pretending to be related to Tom Cruise. Well, maybe not as bad. He didn't do that.

Re: Mets Almost Make Playoffs!

The Jays did have a good winter, didn't they?

D'Arnaud looks pretty good, from what I can tell.

On another note, the Mets are selling tickets for 9 bucks.

But they're finishing strong, going 7 and 3 in their last 10 games.

Re: Mets Almost Make Playoffs!

If this is just a Met commiseration thread I'm terribly sorry for posting non Met info. Manny Machado went down hard at first today in St. Petes. I'm still watching my lowly Jays get beat every day. I'm pulling for Oakland with their shit filled stadium and consistent playoff appearances. Feel free...

Mets Almost Make Playoffs! (2013)

I can't believe it!

The Mets almost made the playoffs this year!

With a record of 71-84, they are only 21 games out of first place and are in third place for the first time in years!

Things are looking good in Flushing.

Re: I Hate People

When I was rolling my youngest daughter who was about six months old down the block in her stroller, I accidentally rolled into a woman's foot. She had been talking on her cellphone and was oblivious to anything. I said, "I'm sorry" and she gave me a sneer and some kind of nasty remark. So...

"Great" is a pretty big word, and I'm not comfortable with it being used to describe me, but I certainly appreciate the gesture, my friend.

Okay, I hear that. But haven't you heard of "Games of Thornes?"

Re: House Rules (Please don't break them in this thread!)

I have a few questions re: House Rules.

1. Is it okay to look in your medicine chest for birth control medicine if you're not at home?
2. Do you need the dog walked once or twice a day?
3. Can I use your computer? Do you have a password? Can I read your email?

Re: I Hate People

I generally really like people. And I always say, when you like people, NYC is the best place to be. (When you need to get away from people, not so much) Contrary to what many people think, I believe city living brings out the best in people. Not only does it create a sense of what we have in commo...

Randy, are you one of those annoying people who put their airplane seat all the way back just because they can? Nope, Tom. I wanted to lean back because I wanted to sleep -- which Delta allows me to. On the way to my destination, I had the unfortunate pleasure of sitting next to a guy who must have...

Remember A-Roid doing yelling at the third baseman during a game? Totally amateurish. Or knocking the ball out of another player's mitt?

Too many incidents add up to a grade A narcissist.
