Re: MLB — 2016

Jays eke their way in.

I felt like pouring beer over my head watching the celebration.

Ron: My dad had an 'major medical event' a few years ago in Hawaii and the attention he received I believe saved his life.

Hope your delivery arrives quickly and that you're on the mend.

PS. Enjoying some baseball broadcast from Taiwan. Canada is in tough against Mexico today.

Re: NHL 2015-16

I beg to differ. The Leafs had almost a week off prior to back to back on the weekend and both games were a marvel in that I can't remember a Leaf team that seemed to play as one, follow the script, fast breaks out of the zone and collapsing around the net. Though they lost to Pittsburgh they looked...

Re: MLB — 2015

I've visited The Mariners' park; best I've seen, all season, weird angles, ballpark green, good food. The only thing I didn't like was the LA vibe of showing up late. Call me Eastern tight. Jays / Rangers game 5 ALDS 7th inning the strangest we may ever see. If you can spare 50 minutes search it out...

Re: MLB — 2015

Thanks Ron. Hopefully we'll get them tonight. The squeeze plays by Madden's Cubs were very exciting. Tough play at second in the Dodgers/Mets game. You "got them" alright, Alan! Glad to see the Blue Jays rise to the occasion. Game 4 should be intense and entertaining tomorrow. Joe Madden ...

Re: MLB — 2015

Sorry to see your Blue Jays lose in that 14-inning heartbreaker, Alan. I'm also sorry to learn that one of my favorites, Vin Scully, will not be broadcasting during the postseason due to "a medical procedure". I love that man! Be well, Vin. I'm watching the Cubs/Cardinals game and anxious...

Re: MLB — 2015

……. I wish they would lose the fucking loud rock music, too. I made my point about military and patriotism above. I agree there is no need for constant stimulation at the major league level. My dad and I traveled to many minor league parks and they have something between every inning such as two ki...

Re: MLB — 2015

It's time for me to blow off a little steam. Here are two of my pet peeves. 1. Baseball fields with artificial turf instead of grass. Toronto and Tampa are the final two holdouts, though each team is working on changing from artificial turf to grass, finally providing the safe, natural playing ...

Re: MLB — 2015

No trouble Ron. I was having a little fun after a single malt. It has been an exciting week for sure. Today's loss was tough as our pick-up relief from Seattle Mark Lowe had a tough outing. I'm going to the game tomorrow, hopefully Dickie can right the ship. Seattle's park is the best park I've been...

Re: MLB — 2015

A friend just visited Citi Field and said it was amazing. Unfortunately the Jays ran into some kid named Sydergaard and our 11 gamer was snapped. I wonder where that kid came from? Oh well we've got our stopper RA Dickey on the mound tonight. Wow! It sounds like that trade (that you so cleverly all...

Re: MLB — 2015

Though a Yankee hater from way back I have to acknowledge Alex Rodriguez' milestones this year. I don't care about drugs or money in sports, I find it boring and anybody who gives a tinkers toss about baseball in 50 years will know the circumstance of the era. Over 2000 RBI, moving in on 3000 hits, ...

Maybe as a measure not to tempt Josh Hamilton should he be tuned in.

UPDATE. It looks like you can run those beer ads again. Hamilton to Rangers.
