Re: NHL 2013

Because the fucking Bruins eliminated the Leafs in game 7 round one last year, I'm reticent to comment on those Chara led yellow mother fuckers. I'm okay. Breath. Breath. But didn't the Leafs cough up a HUGE lead in the 3rd period? And because of that our GM went out and got Jonathan Bernier...

Censorship

I want none. Parents limit children's access to adult material. I've been angered over the years by nannyism from the broadcast networks shielding me from a late night 'shit' or 'fuck' or the unpleasant view of a tit. Now I just laugh. Tonight, AMC is showing The Exorcist and bleeped 'Jesus Christ'!...

That'll be enough about where you stick your fingers.

Re: A little video about my home city

New Brunswick is a beautiful province that gets little attention in Canada. Arriving from the north reminds me of Pennsylvania's hills.

Even as a Canadian traveler I always go through New Brunswick to Nova Scotia or this past summer Newfoundland. I must make a trip to visit properly.

Re: Don Ellis

We never played it a lot and can't attest to a good interpretation but the saxes could read fly shit. My limited understanding for counting stuff like this is 'long long short, long long long short' or whatever. 7/4 being perhaps instead of 'one two, one two, one two three' as 'Short short long' Dou...

Re: Don Ellis

I was lucky to play Ellis's (is the apostrophe in the proper place?) Bulgarian Bulge with an 18 piece group. As I remember we had to count or feel 32 which was the top number of the time signature.

Re: MLB 2013

I hate to think this idea has been abandoned by network gurus. I watched a Fox broadcast of a Tiger game when they honoured Ernie Harwell with 2 minutes of broadcast silence. In Scotts word, bliss. Crack of bat, smack of glove, murmur to roar of crowd. Occasional words from the dugout (perhaps an ad...

Re: Can you drive a manual transmission?

Though I can't be sure as I don't really give a shit to check, my 2011 Subaru Impreza has a feature that locks the brakes on a hill as I disengage the clutch.

This feature alleviates the need to use the emergency brake on hills as we were taught.
