I tried to post news about Butch the other day, but my work computer denied me access to the site.

He underwent a lung transplant Monday night in Houston. The operation was successful and he is doing well. I received a note from him yesterday. His wife Linda is updating on Facebook, as is Scotty Barnhart.

The Austin Jazz Society is raising money to help him and Linda through this difficult time.
