Re: A New Short Story Idea
You have to treat it like a new scientific finding. Get published in the journal of choice that is closest to this sound. New concepts have to seek out the early adopters. Your job is to create enough awareness in the places where you think you'll find another Marilou. She may hold the answer in how...

Wow, I love the skin tones from your camera. Low light and everything is sharp from edge to edge as well. Did you use flash for this shot? If you did, it added just the right amount of fill without creating any harsh edges. Just lovely.

Maybe you remember this place? It's near Brighton Center just past the Police Station. I've been stuck inside working all week long and was forced out for a walk today just around 5pm.

Thanks Scott. I have as much fun processing the pictures as I do taking them. This was taken on Dec 24th in the afternoon. Wife and I went to the Beat Hotel in Cambridge. This is a new club run by the folks at the Beehive. The band is Phil Grenadier and his crew. Yes, his brother is Larry. http://fa...

Warning, family picture. I'm the guy in the top right scratching the dog's head. The wife in the lower left with her brothers, sister in law, and nieces/nephew. Ten second shutter delay got me in the pic. I did a lot of photoshop to remove the ugly. http://farm3.staticflickr.com/2830/11603915293_04e...

EPIC was written in the late 80's. It's an IBM platform, server hog system that needs a serious do over. The owner is aligned to the White House so I wouldn't be surprised to see this beast touted as improvement over the current CGI (don't get me started) site.

‘Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the House Not a Democrat was stirring, not even Nancy Pelosi, the louse. The health care bill was hung by the chimney with care, In hopes that Senate Democrats soon would be there. The American people were nestled all snug in their beds, While visio...

Re: The Affordable Care Act
well, yeah. I'm serious. I am concerned about the real cost but feel that we could and should make appropriate changes that expand coverage. It will cost more, it always does. If we could offset cost increases through savings in other programs it would work. We do need to reprioritize how we spend m...

Ron - I too went the Olympus way.

I really liked the quality of your pictures and along with the super zoom 28-300 at f2.8, this became my first choice for the wife's Christmas present.

Re: The Affordable Care Act
The ACA is extending the time for when you need to sign up, but only for a day or so. It's good to know that everyone who wants insurance has a pathway to high quality plans. There are subsidies available on a scale, up till your salary hits $45K USD for a family of four. I don't know how this trans...

I am also a huge fan of Gregory Porter. He is refreshing in his phrasing and I really like his melodies and lyrics. I enjoyed his tunes on David Murray's Be My Monster Love a lot. My vote for vocalist goes to Tierney Sutton     no bias here.  :smug:
