A big welcome to my drummer pal, the man with the Marine Pearls ... Enforcer ! Glad to have you with us, my mofo. Man, I just unearthed a JCer in The Spotlight thread from 2006. Whoa. Re: Only in Alaska!

In Seward, Alaska, about 120 miles south of Anchorage, a very unusual race takes place on the 4th of July ... the Mt. Marathon Race. It's a grueling race up, then down Mt. Marathon, which rises in the "backyard" of this sleepy coastal town. Here are some still photos, and a video taken wit...

Re: Jazz Corner Posters MIA

Ron, outside of Naggz there aren't any. All the JC refugees from IHM left a long time ago and I can guarantee you they have no intention of ever rejoining the community. The only ones that possibly would are FB friends with me and are aware of this site. Oh, OK. I realize that some would never join...

Scott, have you sent any invitations to the "regulars" at IHM who were at JC in recent times? I'm not registered there and have no immediate plans of joining.

Sorry for the slip of the key (pun intended), David. I know exactly where Key Largo is, having spent many weekends there with my parents when I was a young lad living in Miami. Lovely place. Fished with my Dad there many times, catching Mangrove Snapper & others. We also enjoyed times in Maratho...

"Man, That cat is nuts!" - Monk on Ornette Coleman “I’ve never heard anything Wynton (Marsalis) played sound like it meant anything at all. Wynton has no voice and no presence. His music sounds like a talented high-school trumpet player to me… He’s jazzy the same way someone who drives a B...
