I watched the pilot of Brooklyn Nine Nine last night because I love Andre Braugher. It was just as bad as I feared it would be. He deserves much better than to be paired with Andy Samberg.

Sounds like they need some eager beavers to right that ship.

My bedtime music choice last night. Hadn't played it in a long while but when it was new it hardly ever left my player.

I'll tell you what I DON'T like about Ron Thorne: he lives in Alaska. I want like hell to meet the man in person. I'd love to have him show me the pieces of Boston that were part of his life decades ago.

I have a book of his photographs, many of which were shot on the set of WGBH studios in Boston, when they had a televised jazz program. Those were the days.
