I interviewed Mr. Haden a few years ago live via phone.

This is a very big deal to me....hell, it's the legendary Charlie Haden, who was either on the band or leading and/or composed one amazing, compelling, historic wonderful, memorable project after another. I'm excited and a bit nervous, which rarely happened.

You probably have guessed the outcome.....he couldn't have been more down to earth, personable, patient, accommodating and down to earth; put me right at ease.

I'm listening to Last Dance now for the 1st time. Wow!

Keith and Charlie had a long relationship, and it really shows in this recording. It's a stellar release and worthy of our attention, in my view.

Thanks for that, rlfun. That was fun! Keith covering Joni. I guess that's Keith on flute, too.

Damn, I hate fadeouts. This was from 1971, so I'm sure it was related to the finite space on a vinyl disc.
