sozamora wrote:I actually just read a reply from SqD Steve to an email I sent him yesterday. In short, he's fine but busy with real life stuff. He decided to lay off JC before he went on vacation. No bad feelings, just normal forum burn-out.

I told him about this joint and the FB group, and I hope he changes his mind at some point.

Yeah, I've thought abut SqD Steve many times too, but was hip to his burnout so didn't pursue it with gusto ... yet. ;) I'm with Sergio, hoping that he changes his mind.

I may give him a gentle nudge and see if I can shake him loose for at least a little dance around the new digs.

Once had a terrific weekend in the town of Tunkhannock in the Endless Mountains. Good golf, although I stink at the game, terrific ice cream, caught a great film at a movie theater there, went to a pretty good bar/restaurant, and the outdoor scenery and weather were spectacular for the entire weekend.

I know Tunkhannock well. I live approx. 30 minutes away, and pass through it all the time on my way to almost everywhere I go.

I think the burnout was a result of the whole JC thing that kept many from returning.

Here, not only are interesting things of all sorts being discussed....but music...and Jazz.

Even when people don't agree....it doesn't resort to the whole JC Battle Royale/go to mattresses mode.

Hey, Ron. If you contact him again, please mention that I just bought (a Kindle version) of his book. Looking forward to reading it!

Hi everybody,

Peter Williams is the actual name..... Never a huge poster on JC, but not for lack of interest, more a time issue than anything else.

Looking forward to chiming in and talking about the music that we all love.

I'll add a welcome erwbol.

Something about the org boards was just getting tiring to me - too much politics and album covers. Still a nice place. But this one's shaping up nicely.

I really didn't expect this response. Thank you all.

here is more about me:

my website for photography: http://adamlozo.com I'm working with three cameras right now and it's just a sick hobby for me.

And you can see how conservative I am by looking at who I follow on twitter: @adamlozo << This alone will doom me. I'll follow you back provided you're not selling something. I tweet a lot of jazz.
