Here are a couple of recent iPhone images. I'm always surprised how well they come out.

I'm thrilled ... really thrilled that our Rhododendron in the front yard has 4 large bloom heads bursting at the seams. Nice new foliage is opening, too. It's been a couple of years since it has bloomed, and it should look spectacular in a week or so. It's changing daily. What a vibrant color!

It's growing, changing and opening very rapidly now. The color is lightening, too. It will be a blush pink in the final stage.

We saw this amazing overnight transformation this morning, and there is more to come. They almost look like orchids. I wish the blooms would last all summer.

This transformation is happening on 3 other stalks, too. You can almost watch them open. We'll have about 4 dozen flowers when all are open.

In one of today's (Saturday's) photos you can see some of the protective mesh we've used to protect our Rhododendron from moose.

New foliage is visible on each side of this flower cluster. It's very healthy.

New foliage can be seen on the left of this cluster of flowers.

With temps in the 70s, I couldn't resist another "ride" in our hammock. Who knows how many other opportunities I'll get this year. It was splendid.

This is one of the very few selfies I've taken with my phone's camera.

We're visiting our sons in California. After lunch yesterday, grandson Kai wanted to drive Uncle Darren's car, so I grabbed my phone & quickly squeezed a snapshot. He was in heaven. Then, after getting back "home ", I got a bit of heaven when granddaughter Sophie sat with me on the front porch.
