Another Wedding Anniversary

Postby Ron Thorne » March 9th, 2016, 6:22 pm

On Monday, Patti and I celebrated our 51st wedding anniversary. It doesn't seem possible. What an incredible lady — what a lucky man! One year ago we were on Kaua'i, enjoying ourselves to the fullest on our 50th. This year, we're enjoying our home state and city. Hawai'i is not forgotten, however.

Patti & I decided to have our special anniversary meal at lunch time rather than dinner time this year. Sacks Cafe, a favorite of ours, really delivered! It's located downtown where parking is usually insane, but on Monday there was a spot right in front of the restaurant. Amazing! Here are photos of our selections from their menu. They also served us two desserts with their compliments . . . a first.

House-made bread. Outrageously good.

CHICKEN CURRY
grilled chicken breast, pineapple & watermelon red curry, sautéed asian vegetables, pineapple salsa, jasmine rice. My entrée choice.

Russian Crème - vanilla creme, fresh pineapple & papaya marinated in honey and triple sec. My dessert choice.

HAM & MARINATED OLIVE
black forest ham, salami, marinated olive spread, melted jack & cheddar. Patti's choice.

Lemon Pots de Crème - tart lemon custard. Patti's dessert choice.
