Here's an interesting interview with some remarkable insights from a legend, Sonny Rollins.

This is in HD, so choose your resolution, accordingly.

Here's a very tasty treat from one of our newest members, guitarist Joe Carter.

I just found this one from the 80s with my pal Danny Gottlieb in the drum chair. Interesting.

We must remember the time period from which this came. Danny acquits himself nicely, in my opinion.

Personnel:

John McLaughlin - Guitar
(with Roland MIDI pickup for Synclavier)
Bill Evans - Saxophone
Mitchell Forman - Keyboards
Jonas Hellborg - Bass
Danny Gottlieb - Drums

And now, for something considerably more contemporary, sink your teeth into this:

This is a lengthy, beautifully-shot, intensely satisfying video. What a trio!

Here's Michel Camilo's earlier trio with one of my very favorite set drummers, Horacio "El Negro" Hernandez. What a tasteful musician.

On this date in 1967, we lost a true giant of the jazz world, John Coltrane. He didn't quite reach his 41st birthday.

I'll be enjoying a few of his tunes before heading to a baseball game tonight.

I thought some of you might enjoy this wonderful video, which is quite extensive.

From when television was hip, thanks to Steve Allen & Oscar Brown Jr. in this instance. As my old pal Dobie would have said, Coolio.

Simply glorious.

Since it was shot in 720p HD, you can really enjoy the video as much as the audio.

Loved Jarrett & Co.in post #17, Ron. Especially when he dances with his piano. Talk about passion. Thanks for posting that video, bro.

I just found this terrific set of clips from Charles Mingus' performances at Montreux in 1975. There are 12 clips here to enjoy.

The amazing thing is that he might have already had ALS in 1975.

He wasn't diagnosed with ALS until the end of 1977, after a rather extensive tour.
